Vietnam is officially reopen for international tourism starting March 15th, 2022.

 

 

1. ENTRY CONDITIONS:

 

– From 15th March 2022, Vietnam resumed it’s unilateral visa exemptions policy which apply until March 14th, 2025 for citizens from 13 countries:

  • Germany
  •  France
  •  Italy
  • Spain
  • The UK
  • Russia
  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Denmark
  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • Finland
  • Belarus

The citizens from above countries enter Vietnam regardless of passport types entry purposes, they can stay for 15 day from the date of entry. It is required to have a valid passport for at least 6 months at the time of entry and is not subject or has not been allowed to enter Vietnam and they must to comply with the medical guidance of the ministry of health on the prevention of Covid-19.

 

– E-visas will be granted for 80 countries (photo) that allowed them to apply for a 30-day duration with single entry only.

 

 

 

– Tourists who are foreigners within the framework of international treaties to which Vietnam is a member or are citizens of countries with visa-free policies on the basis of reciprocity with Vietnam are exempt from visas upon entry.

 

– Foreigners, overseas Vietnamese and their families (relatives) who have all valid documents (permanent residence card, temporary residence permit, visa, visa waiver) are allowed to enter Vietnam. Passengers specified above do not need to re-apply for separate personnel verification, visa issuance/visa waiver, and there is no need to apply for entry permit approval from the Immigration Office and the relevant local authorities.

 

2. TESTING AND VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Negative PCR test within 72 hours before entry into Vietnam OR a negative rapid test within 24 hours before departure and certified by the competent authority of the country performing the test.
  •  Children under 2 years old are not required to be test for SARS – CoV-2.

 

3. QUARANTINE REGULATIONS

 

  • No need to quarantine.
  • Self-monitor health for 10 days after entry with the app PC-COVID.

 

 

  • If tourists have any symptoms with Corona virus (fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose, stuffy nose; body aches, fatigue, chills; decreased or lost taste; decreased or lost sense of smell; pain, headache; diarrhea; difficulty breathing; respiratory infection…) must immediately notify the nearest medical facility for guidance and timely management; take preventive measures: regularly wear a mask, disinfect hands with an antiseptic solution. Tourists will be responsible for any intentions of spreading covid-19 under the Vietnamese laws.

 

4. HEALTH DECLARATION

 

  • Tourists do not need to be vaccinated but they are required to fill out the health declaration forms before coming to the airport: https://tokhaiyte.vn
  •  Tourists will need medical or travel insurance that covers covid-19 treatment with a minimum liability of USD10,000.
  • Surgical masks, social distancing and sanitising are required at all times. Children under two are allowed outdoors when accompanied by adults.
